  • Engineered by HDR Engineering Inc. of Lee’s Summit, MO
  • The Construction contract was awarded to Sterling Excavation
  • A new sewer main was installed along the south side of Route HH from Sun Valley to Route B that connects this area to the City of Columbia sanitary sewer system
  • This project eliminated lagoons and treatment facilities serving the following subdivisions:
    • Lake Capri
    • Hillview Acres
    • Sun Valley Estates
    • Sharidan Hills
    • Fall Creek
  • The users in this area remain BCRSD customers and the BCRSD will pay the City of Columbia to treat the wastewater
  • The lagoons and/or wastewater treatment facilities in these neighborhoods were eliminated
  • Three new pump stations were constructed as part of this project
  • This project was funded by a low interest loan from the State Revolving Fund


The project location is along Hwy HH northeast of the city of Columbia between Rte. B and Svena Drive in Sun Valley Estates.
